This is a list of the tools that I have found very useful and beneficial in executing projects and for learning about new aspects of project management.
Basic Components: The Project Management Institute (PMI) is the world’s leading not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession (www.pmi.org). They have a guide that has been assembled that is called the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) http://www.pmi.org/PMBOK-Guide-and-Standards.aspx. This is a good base of deliverables and tasks that need to be performed as part of a project.
Communications: It is important to learn the ability to use words well, not only to keep a situation objective, but also to converse with someone in their frame of reference.
Planning and Scheduling: I will be providing a review on some of the current project management books and references that I have used for structuring and planning a project.
